Leadership Transition at Marx Library

Marty Kurth assumed the role of Interim Associate University Librarian for Science and Social Science on June 1, following Jill Parchuck’s retirement from Yale University Library.  In this role, Marty will guide the Marx Science and Social Science Library team as they support interdisciplinary research and research data management at Yale. About his appointment, Marty said, “I’m grateful to have this opportunity to work more closely with the outstanding Marx Library staff as we partner with the Yale science and social science communities in achieving their research and learning goals.”

Marty has served as Associate University Librarian for Technical Services since arriving at Yale University Library in 2015. Before joining Yale, he served as Associate Dean for Knowledge Access and Resource Management Services at New York University Division of Libraries and as Director of Library IT Infrastructure and Director of Digital Library and Discovery Services at Cornell University Library.
